The Power Of The Unexpected Surprise

It's the little things which matter the most
I was all ready to write a different blog this week when an unexpected surprise changed everything!

As we face many challenges at the moment, the power of positivity, connection and support is more important than ever.

So let me share with you my expected surprise and why it matters.
FOCUS:  Manage Your People
I went to my PO Box and found rather a large parcel. Not expecting anything, I was naturally curious especially when I saw it was from RTO Accountants.

To my surprise, shock and wonderment, the parcel contained a large box of mixed Lindt chocolates and a beautiful card with a lovely handwritten message of support and thanks.

Now in case you don't know, each month I hold a free Q and A Webinar called RTO Conversations where one of my 3 RTO Specialists answer your questions to help you manage the business side of compliance, finance and marketing.

David Jepsen has been my RTO Finance Specialist for the past two years, and he's been so generous with his time and advice to my webinar participants.

And he does this because like me, we have an abundance mindset and believe that helping each other's businesses and clients, and the wider RTO Community, is how we all prosper together.

Now you might be thinking, why are you sharing this Tamara? And I'm glad you asked.

Never underestimate the power of the little things (which are actually big things in disguise). Not only did this unexpected parcel of yummy chocolate brighten up my day and my weekend; but I was so touched by the sentiment expressed in the card, and that David and Karen would take the time to post this gift to little 'ol me.
What's Next?
So here's my challenge to you.

What's the unexpected surprise you can send or give to a
• Student
• Staff member
• Supplier
• Alliance
to say thank you, we're here for you, congratulations or simply to put a smile on their face so they know you care and value them and their support for your business.

And here's my final thought:

Morale of the story

Remember:

It only takes 17 muscles to smile and 47 to frown so which one muscles are you choosing to flex every day?

I look forward to hearing how you and your RTO have put a smile on someone's face.

P.S.
